These were worn by the Spanish, Italian and also some German Condor pilots that fought on the side of Franco in the Spanish Civil War. It was called "Aviazione Legionaria" or the Legion Airforce/Aviation. The dagger sports the Falangist yoke of arrows on the grip and the Spanish general aviation insignia on the scabbard. The entire dagger was made of solid metal and as such is heavy. It was nickel plated over brass. This is quite a rare edged weapon and is collected by both Spanish and Italian edged weapons and Aviation collectors for its representation.
