Haiti Air Force - Pilot

The Haiti Air Corps (Corps d'Aviation d'Haiti) was founded in 1943 with some donated US aircraft. Haiti declared war on Japan on December 8th 1941 in following days Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania. Haiti's primary contribution was food supplies and hosting a Coast Guard detachment.

Five Haitians from the air corps volunteered to fly with the US, and because of segregated US military, were incorporated into the Tuskegee program and subsequent operational units. They were Ludovic Audant, Philippe CĂ©lestin, Raymond Cassagnol, Eberle J. Guilbaud and Nicolas Pelissier Alix Pasquet.
