This is an interesting and extremely beautiful full size USAAF Bombardier wing badge that was hand made by a Native American Navajo-Indian craftsmen in Albuquerque, NM circa 1943. Albuquerque, NM is the home of Kirkland AFB were the USAAF operated a very active Bombardier training program during World War II.

Togglier Wing of Bombardier/Togglier 1st Lieutenant Jerry Weisman of the 8th Air Force, 92nd Bombardment Group, World War II. A Togglier was stationed within the B-17s of the 8th Air Force at the nose gunner or tail gunner station. Lt Weisman was responsible for the opening of the bomb bay doors, the arming of the bomb load and finally, the release of the bomb load in tandem with the lead crew aircraft while at the same time manning his dual 50s to welcome incoming German fighters.
