WWI Turkish pilot's badge - Badges can be found made of silver, bronze or even zinc. Sometimes the german maker or a silver mark, when made of silver, appear on the back. On top is the Tughra of Sultan Mehmed Reshad V, at bottom the A.H.date "699" these badges, created in 1914, are semi-official as no instituting decree or awarding document is known.

Military Aviator wing badge worn by a post-WW1 career officer who earned a "Military Aviator" pilot rating during World War 1. In order to qualify for a Military Aviator rating a pilot had to have 3-years flight experience, or be awarded the rating through an Act of Congress. The MA rating was not awarded after January 25, 1919. Circa 1932-1935
