A rare biographical wing to a military aviator serving in the Cuerpo de Aeronáutica Militar (CAM). This was the predecessor organization of the Fuerza Aérea Guatemalteca (FAG) which was established in 1945. We know this because the engraving is dated December 1944. This was only two months after a revolution that overthrew the military dictatorship and established a pro-democracy government. The name on the back is "Teniente G. A. Girón C."
