WW2 Polish nsignia belonged to Groupe de Chasse I/145 "Varsovie" (Fighter Group I/145 "Warsaw"), a unique unit of the French Air Force (Armée de l'Air) composed almost entirely of exiled Polish pilots who volunteered to fight following the fall of Poland in 1939
